This scheme provides financial assistance in the form of a subsidy linked with bank loans, helping aspiring entrepreneurs start their own businesses with a significantly reduced financial burden.

Government Subsidy

Eligible applicants can receive a subsidy of up to 35% of the total project cost, depending on category and location.

Bank Loan Support

The remaining project cost is financed through bank loans at competitive interest rates as per bank norms.

Flexible Repayment

Loan repayment tenure ranges from 3 to 7 years. The subsidy portion does not require repayment.

Who Can Apply?

The scheme targets specific groups to ensure broad economic upliftment. Only new projects are eligible.

Individuals

Any individual above 18 years of age.

Self-Help Groups

SHGs (including those belonging to BPL provided they have not availed benefits under any other scheme).

Institutions

Registered societies, Production Co-operative Societies, and Charitable Trusts.

Important Conditions

Only New Projects are eligible. Existing units cannot apply for the first loan under this scheme.

Land Cost is not included in the project cost calculation. Subsidy is on capital expenditure + working capital.

Negative List: Activities like liquor, tobacco, meat processing, etc., are strictly not eligible.
